Rapper Young Scooter, born Kenneth Edward Bailey, tragically passed away on March 28, 2025, his 39th birthday. He died at Grady Marcus Trauma Center in Atlanta after sustaining a leg injury while attempting to escape from police during a disturbance involving reported gunfire at a residence.

Authorities responded to the scene after receiving calls about a woman being forcibly taken back into a house. Upon arrival, they found that two men had fled, and during the escape, Bailey injured himself while jumping a fence. The Atlanta Police Department clarified that his injuries were not caused by law enforcement, refuting earlier claims that he had been shot.

Bailey was known for his collaborations with prominent artists like Future and Gucci Mane and gained recognition with his mixtape "Street Lottery" and the hit song "Jet Lag" featuring Future and Juice WRLD. His death is currently under investigation, with an autopsy pending to determine the exact cause.
